DELAWARE, Ohio - Shawnee Hills Mayor Davyd Yost Miller is barred from having contact with his former girlfriend while a domestic violence complaint is pending against him, a Delaware County Municipal Court referee ruled yesterday.

Kimberly Ann Vance filed the complaint, saying Miller attacked her Oct. 23 in the couple's Shawnee Hills home at 9120 Shawnee Trail.

Miller, 28, pleaded not guilty Nov. 4 and requested a jury trial. No date has been set.

Vance, in seeking a temporary protective order yesterday, told Referee Jody Shamansky that Miller hit her, threw her on the ground and choked her after an argument Oct. 23.

He stopped the attack when Vance called her father, Vance said.

She now lives at her parents' Westerville home with her 4-month-old child by Miller.
